Life Drawing:

For this life drawing lesson I have practised drawing the human body. After learning how to set up the easel, I had the chance to practise drawing a few sketches before creating my final piece. I think that this was helpful because it allowed me to step back from the easel when drawing so I can see the easel and the model. Also, I think that it was helpful because I was able to try drawing with different curved lines and shapes.

I believe that my piece of work is successful because it shows the uses of experimentation. This lesson gave me the opportunity to try drawing with charcoal which is a material I rarely use. Therefore, this allowed me to extend my skills within using different materials. Furthermore, I  think my drawing is successful because I was able to extend my skills by applying shadows. To add shadows onto my drawing, I used charcoal for the dark areas and used a rubber to suggest lighting on the body.

I did start to rub out harsh, dark lines that needed to be removed from the lighter areas. However, to improve my drawing I think I should have completed this.
